ISLAMABAD - British Army Chief of the General Staff General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter yesterday visited Miranshah in North Waziristan Agency.
According to ISPR, formation commander briefed him about the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the dismantled terrorists' infrastructure in North Waziristan.
He was also apprised about the return and rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs).
The visiting dignitary was impressed by the achievements and successes of Pakistan armed forces.
Earlier, General Carter called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at GHQ on Wednesday.
During the meeting, regional security issues and matters of mutual interest were discussed.
The visiting dignitary acknowledged the sacrifices and achievements of Pakistan Army in fight against terrorism and efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region.
On arrival at GHQ, CGS UK Army laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
